Product Update: Bulk Uploader

At Udemy, we’re grateful to instructors who dedicate a tremendous amount of expertise, time, and effort into creating a course for students around the world.  After submitting a test video, refining the script, filming the course, and completing post production editing, you’re finally ready to upload your videos!  We’re thrilled to introduce an improved web-based, bulk file uploader so that you can more efficiently and easily upload your lectures to Udemy.

The improved uploader includes easier ways to  to upload gigabytes of data in seconds with our Dropbox integration (among others), a more intuitive interface so you can find and manage all the files in your File Library, and the ability to monitor the status of your file uploads.

Bulk Uploader

When you’re ready to upload your files, go to Bulk File Uploader tab in your Course Dashboard and upload in 3 simple steps:

  1. Select the source:  From your computer or file storage provider, including Dropbox, Box, Google Drive, OneDrive, the improved uploader offers more flexibility!
  2. Drag and drop:  Right into your library to ensure that adding files is simple.
  3. View the status:  In progress or complete, you know the progress of your lecture uploads.

As an alternative, the single file, web-based uploader will remain available.  Not sure of when to use the bulk uploader or the single file uploader? Check out the table below:
