Will university or industry content compete with my courses?

  • We see these content types as complementary.
  • University and industry partner content often focuses on structured programs and credentials, while independent instructor-led content often brings real-world workflows, tools, and applied skills that can evolve more quickly.
  • Learners increasingly need both, and we believe this combination creates more opportunities for instructors.

Will the instructor marketplace continue?

  • The open marketplace remains a core part of our platform and how instructors reach learners.
  • There are no changes to the instructor marketplace. Udemy instructors are critical to the future success of the combined company, as you bring valued learner insights, agility, and instructional skill. These contributions remain integral to the ecosystem.
